 The Scone Horse Show is held during the Scone Horse Festival each year since 2022. The historic town of Scone is well known as the ‘Horse Capital of Australia’ and 2024 marks 43 years for the Scone Horse Festival! The festival pays homage to all breeds of horses, including Thoroughbreds, Australian Stock horses and draught horses, as well as the men and women who breed and work with them.

Events throughout the festival include a main street horse parade, equine extravaganza, charity rodeo, sheep dog trials, yarns night, polo, farrier’s competition, thoroughbred industry awards, stud farm tour, sports mans luncheon, calcutta and a two day race carnival – Scone Cup, ending with the grand finale fireworks family picnic event on Lake Glenbawn.

The Scone Horse Festival is a town celebration of all things that make Scone the ‘Horse Capital of Australia’. Join the community as it comes together for 10 days of fun, excitement and entertainment in the Upper Hunter Valley
